These 3 pictures of a ball demonstrate my ability to save images in a variety popular web formats, including JPEG, GIF, PNG.  I opened the ball picture up in GIMP, then I saved the individual pictures by looking at Select File Type (by Extension).  This is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College.  The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics.  For details, visit the immersive BC portal at http://ImmersiveEducation.org/@/bc
